Prayer Resources
El Ministerio de la Iglesia Presbiteriana Cumberland, Merita Nuestras Oraciones
The Work of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church,
Many Cumberland Presbyterian churches where English is not the first language have a very active prayer life as a church. Hispanic churches practice all night prayer meetings as often as once a month. Korean churches encourage predawn prayer meetings, as well as prayer retreats. Below are materials that can be used for prayer services. The information in the documents will help a group know what to pray about, as well as how to use their time in prayer (see Prayer Agenda). An extended prayer service may be a new experience for your church, but it could be a wonderful opportunity to grow the church’s prayer life.
The Facts - Los Hechos. This is a Spanish-English document that provides facts about the CP Church, it notes the ministries and institutions that our church supports and which need our prayers. The document is in Microsoft Word Format and can be downloaded by clicking The Facts - Los Hechos.
Prayer Agenda - Agenda de Oración. This document is a simple prayer agenda, in both Spanish and English. It can be used as a guide for an extended prayer time with a group. The document is in Microsoft Word Format and can be downloaded by clicking Prayer Agenda - Agenda de Oración.
Church list - Lista de Obras. The following is a list of Cumberland Presbyterian Churches in the USA that have a very high number of immigrants and typically their worship service is in a language other than English. Over 90% of these churches became part of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in the last 10 years. Pray for these new churches. The document is in Microsoft Word Format and can be downloaded by clicking Church list - Lista de Obras.
Missionaries - Misioneros. This web link will take you to a list of Cumberland Presbyterian missionaries. This information will help you compile a prayer list of our missionaries and mission fields outside the USA. Click on Missionaries - Misioneros to go the Global Missions website.
