AMAZING WEDNESDAY

The highlight of our mission trip

– We knew something was up Monday night (June 12th) in our team meeting. Many of the team members were very moved by what they saw at the first day of the Coban school. We prayed that night and talked about the heaviness we all felt at the school, the high school students seemed so burdened and indifferent. Tuesday we pushed ahead with our normal lesson  hoping to build confidence. Tuesday we had a great day and seemed to have reached them on a personal level. Wednesday was Anay’s day to talk about Faith, in particular her difficult childhood and profession of Faith. We had three groups of teens, at the end of each 1 hour class we explained if any wanted to talk to Anay and have an encounter with Christ to go to the back of the gym and speak with her. Over the course of three classes 56 youth went to the back, listened to the  gospel message and prayed to receive Christ. The last day at Coban, Thursday, two more teens asked to receive Christ. The Christian teachers in the school were  overjoyed. WE STOOD in AMAZEMENT.  I have lead several youth teams over the years and I have never seen anything like what we saw in Coban. My the Lord be Praised. (Lynn Thomas)
