The Cumberland Presbyterian Church administers a medical clinic in Guatemala, Central America. It is located in San Lucas on the property of Casa Shalom Orphanage. The orphanage has approximately 60 children and also runs a private school to educate the orphans and children from the surrounding area. The orphanage and school are owned and operated by the Church of God (Cleveland). Several years ago the Cumberland Presbyterian Church entered into a partnership with the Church of God and built a medical clinic at the orphanage.


Anay Ortega is a Cumberland Presbyterian layperson with considerable leadership experience and skill. She has been a church elder, lay preacher, presbytery committee officer and moderator of Andes Presbytery. She has a diploma from the Medellin Bible Seminary in Medellin, Colombia. She has university degrees in human resources and business administration. As well she has years of experience working in the corporate world and for the past seven years owned her own company. Anay Ortega is a hard working faithful servant of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Her love for the Lord and commitment to evangelism and discipleship well suits her as a missionary. She has agreed to serve in Guatemala as a missionary and direct the Cumberland Presbyterian Guatemala Medical Clinic. Anay is from Medellin, Colombia. She arrived in Guatemala on October 15, 2009
